Not sure how to make the Tarte Tatin from my earlier post because you don’t have the right pan? Don’t worry Emile Henry is there for you. Made of the same Flame ceramic as their Tagine this means it’s lighter than comparable metal cookware. This also means that the pan can go from the stove, to the oven and then to the table, you can even microwave it if need be. The greatest feature of this Tarte Tatin dish is the included serving dish that allows you to easily unmold your tart and serve it to your guests. Designed to allow you to easily use one dish from start to finish, this mean that now nothing will get in your Tarte Tatin competition dreams. Available now from most Emile Henry retailers in either red or black for $120.00 pick one up and get your tarte on. Hit the link for a pictorial look at creating this classic dish.

I have a confession. I like salad spinners. I don’t know why, maybe it’s from watching the dryer at the Laundromat as a child, or maybe it’s from a wet lettuce trauma I suffered at some point. Either way one thing is sure, when I became an adult (an event that is still up for debate as to when or if it happened) I set upon a journey to purchase myself the best salad spinner I could find. After years of depression and searching, my pilgrimage finally ended when I found the OXO salad spinner. Hit the jump to find out why.

Most people know the Bundt pan, what most people don’t know is that the Bundt pan is a registered trademark of Nordic Ware. Despite the Bundt pan, introduced in 1950, being the iconic piece of bakeware that Nordic Ware is known for, the pan was not introduced until 4 years after they began. Nordic Ware started in 1946 and sold ethnic bakeware such as the Ebleskiver Pan, Krumkake Pan and the Rosette Iron. Not from St. Olaf? Then hit the link for more info.

I have to admit I’m not a huge brownie fan, but when I do get a craving I always want an edge piece. Unfortunately not being a brownie fan I usually get there too late and am stuck eating an undercooked edgeless middle piece. If only there were some way to stop my murderous brownie center rampages, there has to be a better way to bake them. This is where the Edge Brownie Pan from Baker’s Edge comes in handy. With its unique shape it guarantees at least two chewy edges on every serving. Hit the jump for more.

A Backwoods Chubby upright water cooker that is! Nothing I like more at Flavourgasmic than smoking and this entry level model from Backwoods Smoker is still big enough to swallow up 12 slabs of baby back ribs, 8 slabs of St. Louis style ribs, 4 slabs of spare ribs, 2 to 3 large briskets or 4 to 6 Boston butts. Able to hold approximately 10 pounds of charcoal the smoker will provide between 6-10 hours of cooking time depending on temperature. Base price for the Chubby is $845, and goes up depending on features, such as the $275 BBQ Guru Computer control with Pit Viper fan. Hit the link for more pictures and info.

If the world of enameled cast iron cookware were anything like highlander, Le Creuset would be the only one. It seems to me that just about every week some manufacture is introducing a new line of colorful enameled cookware in direct competition with Le Creuset. So why was this Le Creuset French oven at the top of Katt’s wish list, and why was I willing to spend considerably more for it? Read on to find out.

That adorable scamp up there is the Cherry Chomper. Created by Talisman Designs, the same people that brought us the Butter Boy and Butter Girl butterers, the Cherry Chomper is a fun easy way to remove the pit from fresh cherries. Simply insert the cherry into its mouth, push down, and release. The pit, along with any juice is contained in Chomper’s pants for easy clean up.
