Most people know the Bundt pan, what most people don’t know is that the Bundt pan is a registered trademark of Nordic Ware. Despite the Bundt pan, introduced in 1950, being the iconic piece of bakeware that Nordic Ware is known for, the pan was not introduced until 4 years after they began. Nordic Ware started in 1946 and sold ethnic bakeware such as the Ebleskiver Pan, Krumkake Pan and the Rosette Iron. Not from St. Olaf? Then hit the link for more info.

Æbleskiver or Ebleskiver, in Danish means apple slices and is a traditional Danish pancake dish. Made into spheres, they are often stuffed with either fruit or cheese. Of course to make them one must have a proper Ebleskiver pan, and Nordic Ware has you covered. Their 9 in. Ebleskiver pan allows you to prepare 7 Ebleskivers at a time, perfect when you need to keep people entertained during tales of the great herring wars.

Krumkake or Krum Kaka, means bent or curved cake in Norwegian. Traditionally made during Christmas season the Krumkake is a waffle cookie made from flour, eggs, sugar, and cream. As it turns out to properly make one you must have a Krumkake pan and guess what? Yep, Nordic Ware has you covered again with their 5 ¼ in. Krumkake pan which works on either electric or gas stoves and includes recipes for Krumkaker and a rolling cone. Normally filled with multekrem (a type of whipped cream) they are perfect to serve at the St. Olaf Butter Queen pageant.

Rosettes are a deep fried Scandinavian cookie similar to a funnel cake. To make a rosette you first need a Rosette Iron, Nordic Ware fortunately has you covered (bet you didn’t see that coming). These intricately designed irons are first heated to very high temperatures before being dipped in to the cookie batter. The batter coated iron is then re-immersed into hot oil and then immediately removed and the rosette is separated from the iron. The rosette is then dipped in either frosting or sugar. It’s the perfect snack while watching herring being shot out of cannons at the herring circus.

Whether you prefer Ebleskiver, Krumkake, or even Rosettes Nordic Ware can handle all your baking needs.
